This measure, announced on Tuesday, addresses the need to improve urban mobility and the experience of tourists arriving in the city. The new location seeks a balance between tourist activity and residents' lives, reducing impact on residential areas.
“"We have listened to the residents and made the necessary changes to achieve more efficient mobility in the city. This way, we do not increase traffic in that area or eliminate parking spaces."
The Mobility Councillor, Sonia Orts, explained that the decision was made in response to demands from residents in the Carrer Mallorca area. The goal is to prevent increased traffic and loss of parking spaces in that vicinity.
“"The new stop allows cruise passengers to arrive directly at the entrance gate of the Old Town, next to the Volta del Pallol, an ideal spot to begin exploring Roman Tarraco."
For her part, the Tourism Councillor, Montse Adan, emphasized that the new stop will significantly enhance the visitor experience. Cruise passengers will have direct access to the Volta del Pallol, considered an ideal starting point for exploring Roman Tarraco.
