A rose was placed in the stands of the Nou Estadi Costa Daurada in tribute to Manuel López Pasca, former councilor of the Tarragona City Council who passed away last week, and who was a great supporter of Nàstic. The gesture took place this Sunday afternoon, coinciding with the match between the Tarragona club and Villareal B.
López Pasca died last Wednesday at the age of 72. He served as a councilor for the Tarragona City Council between 1999 and 2011, affiliated with the PSC party. He was the councilor for Citizen Relations during the first term of Mayor Josep Fèlix Ballesteros, specifically from 2007 to 2011.
An example of public service and a faithful defender of his Andalusian roots and the Nàstic crest.
Born in Rosal de la Frontera (Huelva), he arrived in Tarragona when he was only 10 years old. In addition to his political career, he was president of the Association of Democratic Ex-Councilors and was known for his 'Nastiquer' fervor. His passion for Andalusia led him to preside over the Casa de Andalucía de Tarragona and promote events like the Feria de Abril and the Romería.
