The seventh edition of the new music talent contest PortAutors-es, organized by Port Tarragona, is in its final week for candidate submissions. Those interested in participating have until October 7th to register via the official form, following the established rules. The event, consolidated as a key platform for emerging talent, will select six finalists who will compete in the grand finale on November 21st at the Teatret del Serrallo.
The contest offers five awards designed to boost the professional projection of participants. PortAutors-es is open to singer-songwriters of legal age, of any nationality, who perform their own compositions, accepting any musical style, instrumentation, and language to promote creativity and diversity.
As a new feature this year, the six finalists will receive specific training in stage presence and direction before the final gala, aiming to enhance their performance.
Beyond the contest, PortAutors-es maintains initiatives such as the Projecte Família PortAutors, with training sessions led by cultural professionals, and PortAutors en Xarxa, which seeks to create collaboration opportunities between festivals and programmers for the continuity of emerging artists.
To participate, applicants must complete the registration form before October 7th, 2026, submitting three original pieces, a technical sheet, and promotional graphic material. A specialized jury will select the six finalists and four reserves.
The final will take place on November 21st at 6 PM at the Teatret del Serrallo, where finalists will perform up to three original compositions before the jury and the audience, culminating in the award ceremony.
The five awards include performance opportunities at festivals in 2027 (Jury Award), material for music recordings (Audience Award), music training (Local Artist Award), a performance at FIM Vila-seca 2027 (FIM Vila-seca Award), and the production of a professional music video at the port facilities (Port Tarragona Award).
