Tarragona Provincial Council Injects 16.5 Million Euros for Current Expenses of 160 Local Entities

More than 160 municipalities in the Tarragona region have received 16.5 million euros from the Provincial Council's ImpulsDipta Plan to cover fixed operating expenses.

The ImpulsDipta Plan, a municipal cooperation instrument of the Tarragona Provincial Council (Diputació de Tarragona), has allocated just over 16.5 million euros to help more than 160 local entities in the region meet fixed expenses. This plan, effective until 2027, has a total economic endowment of 162 million euros and is structured into various action programs.
The specific current expenditure program finances chapters 1, 2, and 3 of municipal budgets. This includes essential items such as staff remuneration, social security, and supplements (Chapter 1), as well as expenses for goods and services.
Eligible expenses include facility maintenance, repairs, basic supplies, consumables, service contracts, leases, and insurance premiums. It also covers financial expenses such as loan interest and bank commissions.
All regions (comarques) in the demarcation have received funding. Notable allocations include nearly 2.7 million euros for 25 local entities in Baix Camp, 2 million euros for 23 municipalities in Priorat, and 2 million euros for 21 municipalities in Alt Camp. The Tarragonès region received 1.8 million euros for 16 municipalities.
