In recent days, the Torredembarra Local Police has reinforced surveillance in the municipality's rural and agricultural zones as part of a preventive campaign against agricultural product theft and other uncivil or criminal conduct. During one of these patrols on October 7th, officers identified two individuals in the Marítima Nord urbanization area.
During this intervention, five sacks of carobs were located and seized, weighing approximately 400 kilograms. The product has been preventively confiscated while relevant actions are carried out to determine its origin and the circumstances of its acquisition.
The Local Police have announced they will continue to increase police presence and surveillance tasks in various parts of the municipality, particularly in areas with agricultural holdings and plantations susceptible to theft during the harvest season.
The Local Police remind the public of the importance of citizen collaboration and urge owners and farmers to report any suspicious movements or activities that may be related to the theft of agricultural products.
This campaign is part of the prevention and citizen security efforts undertaken by the Torredembarra Local Police to ensure the protection of rural areas, their owners, and the municipality's agricultural products.
