The plenary session of the Vila-seca City Council, held last Friday, March 27, established the local holiday calendar for the year 2027 and approved two significant motions for the municipality.

The chosen dates for Vila-seca's local festivities during 2027 will be January 18, the day after Sant Antoni, which will fall on a Sunday, and August 3.
In addition to setting the holiday calendar, the plenary session debated and approved two motions. The first, jointly presented by the municipal groups of Vila-seca Segura, PSC, and Vila-seca en Comú, sought to re-establish birth registration in the parents' municipality of residence.

The motion for the re-establishment of birth registration in the parents' municipality of residence was approved with favorable votes from Vila-seca Segura, PSC, Vila-seca en Comú, and Decidim Vila-seca, and the abstention of VOX.

The second initiative, promoted by Vila-seca en Comú, proposed the development of a comprehensive municipal plan for the accompaniment and well-being of elderly people in Vila-seca. This motion received unanimous support from all political groups present at the plenary session.
