The Vila-seca City Council, led by Mayor Pere Segura, launched its 2026 promotional calendar by participating in FITUR at IFEMA Madrid to strengthen its position as a quality and sustainable destination.

The presence of Vila-seca at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held from January 21 to 25 at IFEMA Madrid, is managed under the Corner Agreement of the Diputació de Tarragona, sharing space with other Costa Daurada destinations at the Catalan Tourism Agency stand.

"Vila-seca's presence at FITUR is an opportunity to reinforce the destination's positioning in an increasingly competitive market, promote a tourism model based on quality and sustainability, and establish alliances that allow us to continue generating economic and development opportunities for the municipality."

In this edition of FITUR, Vila-seca's strategy has focused especially on promoting sports tourism, with a strong emphasis on cycling. The town has been certified in cycle tourism since 2019 by the Catalan Tourism Agency, underscoring its commitment to this modality.
This commitment is reinforced by its prominent participation in top-tier cycling events. A key highlight is that Vila-seca will be an end-of-stage location for the upcoming Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, a fact that guarantees significant international visibility.
