The incident occurred at 9:13 a.m. on Friday at kilometer point 72 of the C-221, within the municipality of Gandesa. The accident required the rapid mobilization of three units from the Bombers de la Generalitat to secure the area.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries, with no serious lesions reported. However, the cargo suffered significant damage, causing several animals to be ejected from the vehicle.

The main task of the emergency teams focused on securing the area and controlling the livestock. The Firefighters successfully captured seven pigs that had dispersed onto the road, while the rest of the cargo remained inside the overturned vehicle.

To normalize the situation, the transport company responsible was contacted and sent another truck to transfer the animals. The incident caused temporary traffic disruptions while the rescue of the livestock and the removal of the damaged vehicle were carried out on the C-221.
