The incidents occurred last weekend as part of an intensified speed control operation coinciding with the Alcanyís Motorcycle Grand Prix. The drivers were intercepted at two different times at the same kilometer marker on the N-420 road.
On the afternoon of August 28th, a car with Andorran plates was detected traveling at 180 km/h. Two days later, on August 30th, a motorcycle was intercepted at the same location at 201 km/h.
As a result of these speeding offenses, the Mossos d'Esquadra initiated criminal proceedings against both drivers for an alleged offense against road safety. These controls were part of a broader operation designed to ensure the safety of fans traveling to the circuit.
