The Terra Alta County Council has renewed its collaboration agreements with three local sports entities to promote women's sports practice during this year.

The agreement involves a financial contribution of 1,000 euros for each of the beneficiary entities: Club Vòlei Batea, Club de Futbol Gandesa, and Club Futsal Gandesa. These funds are intended to contribute to the financing of the sports activities carried out by these clubs.
The initiative is coordinated by the Servei d’Informació i Atenció a les Dones (SIAD), which depends on the Àrea d’Igualtat, Feminismes i Ciutadania. This action is part of the county council's public policies to promote gender equality and raise awareness among citizens about the prevention of sexist violence.
The County Council has emphasized that supporting women's sports is a priority line of work. The main objective is to increase the presence of women in sports disciplines where their participation is still considered minority.
