The Government of the Generalitat held its fourth working session this weekend at Món Sant Benet, in Bages, to address budget approval and other urgent issues such as the situation of Rodalies and the crises in education and healthcare.

The two-day meeting primarily aimed to advance negotiations for the executive's first budget, currently in talks with ERC. Additionally, other pressing issues were discussed, including persistent deficiencies in the Rodalies service and tensions in the education and healthcare sectors, with the possibility of new strikes in the coming months.
The session began on Saturday morning with a joint photograph of cabinet members, followed by a minute of silence to condemn the murder of a 92-year-old woman in Barcelona. The only notable absence was the Minister of Health, who is on leave due to a domestic accident, with her duties being assumed by the Minister of Presidency.
This marks the fourth time the Government has held a weekend meeting outside its usual headquarters, maintaining a rhythm of one such gathering every six months in emblematic locations. Previous sessions took place in Poblet in August 2024, in Núria in April last year, and in Arnes in August. The choice of Món Sant Benet, a former monastery transformed into a cultural and tourist center, continues the tradition of selecting spaces with special significance.
On Sunday morning, the president of the Generalitat is scheduled to make an institutional statement to report on the outcomes and conclusions of this intensive working session.
