Mar Martos to lead Republican Left in Terra Alta

The Gandesa councilwoman replaces Marta Samper, and the position of general secretary is activated with Francesc Sabaté.

The councilwoman from Gandesa, Mar Martos, has been elected the new president of the regional Federation of Esquerra Republicana de la Terra Alta, succeeding Marta Samper.

The Republican councilwoman of the Gandesa City Council, Mar Martos i Martí, has taken over from Marta Samper as head of the regional Federation of Esquerra Republicana de la Terra Alta. Samper resigned from the position due to work-related reasons.
For the first time, the role of general secretary of the Federation has been activated, to be filled by the councilman from Caseres, Francesc Sabaté i Puchol, who was previously responsible for the Municipal Policy Secretariat. These changes, along with others in various secretariats, were unanimously approved by the Assembly of militants.
Mar Martos, who also served as a regional councilor during the first part of the legislature, stated that the team's main objective is to work towards expanding the presence of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya in the town councils of Terra Alta and to continue promoting actions through the Consell Comarcal to improve people's lives and the common good.
The new regional Executive is composed of Mar Martos i Martí as President, Francesc Sabaté i Puchol as General Secretary, Montse Subirats i Gisbert for Organization, Marta Samper i Samper for Finance, Maria Jesús Ardèvol i Gironès for Image and Communication, Joan Aubanell i Sabaté for Municipal Policy, Tere Mariné i Solé for Feminisms, and Jordi Martín i Cuello for Environment. The members include vocalists Ramon Lluís i Vidal and Joan Manel Palau i González.
