The Terra Alta Regional Council has announced the winners of the fifth Regional Research Project Awards, recognizing Carla Meix Escudé and Bernat Sanromà Samper for their investigations.

The awards, aimed at fostering research and scientific creativity among high school students in the region, have distinguished the two young individuals from the Institut Terra Alta in Gandesa in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Technology categories.
Carla Meix received the Joan Grijalbo Serres Award for her project titled The Twin Towers and Their Scars. The research examines the social, cultural, health, political, and security consequences stemming from the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Meanwhile, Bernat Sanromà was honored with the Doctor Ferran i Clua Award in the Science and Technology category for his project Construction and Optimization of a Smart Greenhouse for Food Production, which explores technological innovation in agriculture.
The awardees expressed their satisfaction with this recognition, viewing it as an encouragement for their academic and professional endeavors.
