The incorporation became effective this Monday, with the new personnel distributed among the police stations in Lleida, La Seu d’Urgell, and Les. Specifically, 23 officers have been assigned to the Lleida station, 20 to La Seu d’Urgell, and 11 to Les.
The welcome event was attended by the Government's Subdelegate in Lleida, José Crespín, accompanied by the Provincial Chief Commissioner of the National Police, Maria Pilar Callejero, and Chief Inspector, Eva Freixa.
Subdelegate José Crespín emphasized the importance of police work, which extends beyond ensuring security to include listening, guiding, and supporting individuals in need of help.
The new officers will undertake various roles. At the Lleida station, they will work in Brigades such as Documentation Issuance (DNI, passport, and NIE) and Protection and Security. At border stations like La Seu d’Urgell and Les, their duties will involve border control.
