The political party Aliança Catalana has announced its representative for the mayoralty of Tàrrega in the 2027 municipal elections. The candidate, who has over three decades of experience in the healthcare sector, has expressed her desire to lead a project for a Tàrrega that is "vibrant, safe, rooted, and proud of what it is".
“"Roots are not negotiated, identity is not sold, freedom is not asked for, it is built."
The announcement, made today via social media, underscores the candidate's responsibility and clear convictions, as well as her affection for the country and the city. Her discourse emphasizes the defense of a city that "does not renounce its identity" and "takes care of its people," while also advocating for a "free Catalonia, with its own voice, dignity, and pride".
This designation is part of a series of lead candidate announcements that Aliança Catalana has made today for six other municipalities, including Reus, Figueres, Tortosa, Pla de l'Estany, and Roda de Ter. The party, led by its president, had initially planned to announce its candidate for Barcelona on Sant Jordi's Day, but was forced to postpone due to the withdrawal of the chosen individual, and is currently in discussions with other potential candidates.
