Woman hit by car in Tàrrega while crossing pedestrian walkway

A 43-year-old woman sustained minor injuries yesterday afternoon in Tàrrega after being hit by a vehicle driven by an 82-year-old man on Sant Pelegrí street.

The incident took place around 6:00 PM (18:00 h) on Sant Pelegrí street, near number 109, as the victim was crossing a zebra crossing. The driver of the involved car is 82 years old.
Two patrols from the Tàrrega Local Police and two ambulances from the SEM (Medical Emergency System) quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance to the woman.
The 43-year-old woman received initial treatment from emergency services for a blow to the head. Although the injuries were classified as minor, she was subsequently transferred to the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida for a thorough medical evaluation.
