The event recognizes the career of Raül Arenas, known for promoting numerous solidarity challenges under the motto 'Sempre Endavant' (Always Forward), successfully raising over 30,000 euros for various social causes.
The day will begin at 11 AM with an inclusive solidarity walk through the town's streets, starting from the sports area – fronton court. The gathering is open to the entire community and will feature the participation of the giants from Tàrrega, the Groguet, and the Nans de Guixanet.
“"For there to be a sculpture that represents all this and for it to be in my town is the maximum I could imagine. This tribute belongs to all of us."
After the walk, around 12 noon, there will be a popular hot chocolate and cake gathering for all attendees. The main event will be at 12:30 PM, with the inauguration of the 'Sempre Endavant' monument dedicated to sports volunteers.
The sculpture, created by the artist Antonio Camacho Lucas, is a stone piece that symbolizes the values of courage, effort, perseverance, solidarity, and personal improvement that have defined Arenas's trajectory.
Those interested in attending from Tàrrega have the option to reserve a free bus seat until Thursday, January 15. The event, initially planned to be held at the Sant Eloi Park in Tàrrega, will finally take place in the athlete's hometown.
