The CUP de Tàrrega launched a new series of talks last Friday in the capital of Urgell, focusing its first session on the challenges of housing access.

The initiative aims to establish a direct dialogue with the citizens and associations of Tàrrega. Councilor Miquel Nadal stated that the group seeks to generate new proposals to transform the city ahead of the 2027 local elections.

"We want to do this common work with all the people of Tàrrega who are working in these fields on a daily basis."

The first session featured Laure Vega, a member of the Catalan Parliament, who discussed the legislative framework. Other speakers included Bernat Truc from PAH Lleida and Èric Morros from the Obrint Portes cooperative, who presented alternative housing models.
