The Mossos d'Esquadra have dismantled a family clan involved in marijuana trafficking in Mollerussa, arresting four people and seizing over two kilograms of drugs.

Officers from the Investigation Unit of the Mollerussa police station arrested four individuals last Wednesday: two men aged 29 and 25, and two women aged 30 and 26, for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal group. The investigation, which began in late May 2024, indicated a highly active family clan potentially involved in selling narcotics, primarily marijuana, in Pla d'Urgell.
The group members, with clearly defined roles, allegedly distributed drugs to consumers, many of them young people. During police surveillance, 11 marijuana transactions were intercepted, and it was confirmed that the suspects frequently changed their selling points to hinder police action.
The criminal group operated an indoor marijuana plantation for supply, a property to hide the drugs, and a third apartment to store illicit profits. Simultaneous raids and searches were conducted at two residences in Mollerussa and a detached house in Linyola.
During the searches, over 2 kg of marijuana ready for retail sale were seized, along with packaging and weighing tools, 32,824 euros in cash, three precision scales, and two handguns with ammunition, as well as a wooden baton. In Linyola, a facility prepared for cultivating 300 marijuana plants was discovered, equipped with indoor growing elements like LED lamps, fans, and extractors, along with a precision scale and a wall safe.
These operations have led to the dismantling of a significant drug dealing operation in the Pla d'Urgell region. Two of the arrested women have been released on bail, required to report to the court when summoned, while the other two detainees, who have prior records, have been brought before the investigating court in Lleida.
