This decision, confirmed by sources close to the center, aligns with the previous rejection expressed by the Alfons Costafreda institute in Tàrrega and the Margarida Xirgu in L'Hospitalet, which have also declined to participate in this initiative. With this new addition, three institutes have now withdrawn from the pilot plan.
The management of Ribera del Sió sent a communication to the center's families, explaining that the implementation of the Eduseg plan has generated a significant amount of information
“"often inaccurate and biased, which has created an image of the center far from reality and caused concern among part of the educational community"
For this reason, and considering the majority sentiment of the educational community, the center has informed Education of its intention not to participate, with the aim of preserving the proper functioning and well-being of the students.
Meanwhile, other centers in Lleida included in the pilot program, such as the Institut d'Aran (Vielha), Lo Pla d'Urgell in Bellpuig, and the Manuel de Pedrolo in Tàrrega, continue to internally debate their participation. Since the official presentation of the plan, the Department of Education has reiterated that Mossos d'Esquadra officers will not enter classrooms.
