Fifth-grade students from Escola Pia in Tàrrega have successfully organized a blood donation drive at the Casal Cívic, attracting 173 registered participants this week.

The initiative, running under the slogan El món necessita sang, el món necessita vida, recorded 114 donors during its first day. Students managed various tasks, including welcoming donors, conducting interviews, and providing gifts as a token of appreciation for the community's solidarity in the Urgell region.
Supported by the Banc de Sang i Teixits de Lleida, this project has accumulated 954 donations over its seven-year history. The campaign also promotes bone marrow donation, highlighting the educational impact of involving young students in public health initiatives.
