Families in Tàrrega have raised the alarm regarding the severe deterioration of the children's park in Plaça del Pare Carles Perelló, demanding urgent action from the City Council to prevent falls and accidents.

The park, popularly known as Plaça de la Pia because it is located in front of the Escola Pia, features highly worn protective rubber pavement. This flooring has holes, especially under the adapted swings, which creates a high risk of falls and injuries.
In addition to the pavement, a spring rocker has been surrounded by construction fences for several months without being repaired. Affected parents expressed their discomfort over what they consider a “prolonged lack of maintenance” in a public space so frequently used by the city's youngest residents.

"We are drafting a project for the complete remodeling of the entire square, and in the meantime, we are preparing provisional repairs to address immediate emergencies."

José Luis Marín · Tàrrega Urban Planning Councilor
Urban Planning Councilor José Luis Marín responded to the complaints by indicating that the Tàrrega City Council is preparing a comprehensive remodeling project for the square. Regarding the fenced-off rocker, he noted that they are awaiting the arrival of the supplier company to resolve the issue.
