The children's playground located in the Plaça del Pare Carles Perelló in Tàrrega, situated directly in front of the Escola Pia, is in a very poor state of conservation, according to complaints from local parents. The main issue lies with the protective rubber pavement, which is extremely worn and has visible holes, especially beneath the swings.
A prolonged lack of maintenance in a highly frequented public space intended for the city's youngest residents.
This pavement wear, which affects areas adapted for children with disabilities, significantly increases the risk of falls and injuries. Furthermore, for several months, a spring rocker has been surrounded by construction fences, rendering it unusable and posing an additional hazard to children.
In response to the complaints, the Councillor of Urban Planning, José Luis Marín, confirmed that the Tàrrega City Council is working on drafting a comprehensive remodeling project for the entire square.
“"We are drafting a remodeling project for the entire square."
Meanwhile, to address immediate urgent issues, Marín assured that Municipal Services are preparing provisional repairs. Regarding the broken rocker, he indicated that they are awaiting the arrival of the supplier company to resolve the incident.
