On September 11th, FiraTàrrega will present an adapted session of the performance Una brillant imperfecció (o mort d'un pianista) by Cia. Vero Cendoya at the Teatre Ateneu in Tàrrega. This initiative, a collaboration with the Associació Alba, aims to improve the festival's auditory accessibility.
The session will feature a radiofrequency assistive listening system, specifically designed for users of hearing aids or cochlear implants with a T-coil setting. Additionally, individual magnetic loop systems and amplified sound with headphones will be available, benefiting individuals with hearing loss who do not use these devices.
The technical implementation will be managed by Teatro Accesible, an organization with 14 years of experience in sensory accessibility for performing arts, which has supported nearly 20,000 people with sensory disabilities across Spain.
The performance Una brillant imperfecció, a co-production by Cia. Vero Cendoya and the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, is an inclusive dance-theatre piece that explores disability from a revolutionary perspective. It combines contemporary dance, spoken theatre, documentary material, and humor, drawing inspiration from figures like Eli Clare, Eva Nasarre, and Stella Young.
FiraTàrrega, celebrating its 46th edition, also hosts other notable productions such as Bomba va! by Glòria Ribera and international acts by Penique Productions. The festival continues its commitment to original creation through programs like Suport a la Creació, featuring works like Bo Família by Marie de Jongh and Aquí by Llum de Fideu.
Furthermore, FiraTàrrega is hosting the IN SITU FOCUS #1, a key event of the European project Platform 2025-2028, and presents the inaugural performance Incontinuo by Cia. Kamchàtka, a result of an extensive European co-production network.
