The performance, which premiered internationally at the Orlhac festival in France, arrives in Tàrrega with a political and deeply human perspective on exile, migration, and the search for refuge. The production invites the audience to step into an indeterminate time and place, following a crowd seeking a place to stop, feel safe, and start anew.
Elements such as a blanket, a bowl of soup, a piece of bread, and memories of what was, is, and will be, become key to a collective experience that addresses current issues like migration, forced displacement, memory, and coexistence, particularly relevant in the context of the ongoing migratory crisis.
One of the most unique features of ‘Incontinuo’ is the blurring of the line between actors and spectators. The space of l'Hort del Barceloní will be transformed into a shared area where the audience will become part of this crowd in search of refuge.
Artistic direction is by Lluís Petit and Prisca Villa, leading a team of over twenty professionals. Along with sixty volunteers, including newcomers to the city, an ephemeral city inhabited by people on the move will be created, aiming to evoke emotion and reflection.
The performance integrates acting, live music, audiovisual projections, and a grand scenography. The audience will access the square from four designated entry points around l'Hort del Barceloní, with the show scheduled to begin at 9:15 PM.
