The Generalitat de Catalunya will launch a pilot program to integrate plainclothes Mossos d'Esquadra officers into educational centers in various locations, including Tàrrega, with the aim of improving prevention and student support.

This initiative, confirmed by sources from the Department of Education, seeks to establish the figure of the integrated officer as a reference within the educational community. The measure arises from the increasing complexity in school environments and the need to strengthen student well-being, a demand that, according to Education, has been "strongly requested by the teaching community".
The pilot project will be carried out in several educational zones, including l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Vic, Alta Ribagorça-Vall d'Aran, and Tàrrega. Additionally, it will be implemented in two specific centers in el Prat de Llobregat and Sabadell.
The Department of Education has indicated that, according to OECD data, approximately half of developed countries already have similar collaboration programs between schools and security forces, with a preventive and community-focused approach. At the state level, up to nine autonomous communities, such as Galicia, Navarra, Andalusia, Madrid, or the Balearic Islands, already have projects of this nature.
