The La Seu d'Urgell Town Council is celebrating the tenth edition of the Pyrenees Game Festival with a historical exhibition at Espai Ermengol, open until March 26th.

Curated by Quimera Entertainment Company, the display tracks the event's journey since its inception in 2016. Originally inspired by the Dau Barcelona festival, it has grown from 2,500 visitors to over 12,000, turning the city into a major cultural reference for tabletop gaming.
The exhibition highlights the festival's social impact, including its inclusive areas for people with visual disabilities and the Catalonia Awards for games in Catalan. It also notes the hosting of the Tabula Awards in 2024 and 2025.
Starting March 27th, the focus will shift to a new exhibition about Elizabeth Magie, the true inventor of Monopoly. Visitors will be able to see a reproduction of her original creation, The Landlord's Game, which served as the basis for the world-famous board game.
