The La Seu d'Urgell City Council has launched a public proposal to renovate the road connecting Castellciutat with the Balcó del Pirineu residential area this February.

The local government is planning to intervene on a one-kilometer stretch of the road. This route, which links the capital of Alt Urgell with the municipality of Montferrer i Castellbò, has suffered significant damage due to recent weather conditions.

"It is a road in very poor condition; it has rained a lot, there is a lot of water flow, and something must be done."

Joan Barrera · Mayor of La Seu d'Urgell
While the project is estimated at 129,000 euros, the council currently lacks the necessary funds. Officials are actively seeking external financing to move forward with the partial paving of the road.
