The defendant admitted to the charges this Wednesday following a settlement between the defense and the Prosecutor's Office. The court applied the only yes means yes law as it was deemed more favorable to the accused.
According to the final ruling, the incident took place after both individuals went to a public toilet. Despite the victim's refusal to continue, the man attempted penetration, although the assault was not completed.
The court has suspended the prison sentence on the condition that the man does not commit any crimes for three years, attends a sexual education course, and maintains a 200-meter restraining order for five years.
The sentence also includes five years of supervised release, a seven-year ban on working with minors, and a 1,000 euro compensation payment to the victim for civil liability.
