Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in N-145 Accident Near La Seu d’Urgell Dies

The 51-year-old man, a resident of Barcelona, succumbed to his severe injuries sustained in a collision with a car on Sunday evening.

A 51-year-old motorcyclist, a resident of Barcelona, died on Monday from severe injuries sustained in a traffic accident on the N-145 near La Seu d’Urgell on Sunday evening.

The man was transferred in critical condition to the hospital in La Seu d’Urgell following the collision between his motorcycle and a car. The accident occurred around 7:30 PM at kilometer 0.7 of the N-145 road, very close to the town in the Urgell region.
The five occupants of the car involved in the accident were unharmed. The crash was violent and required the deployment of emergency services, including four patrols from the Mossos d’Esquadra, two units from the Bombers de la Generalitat, an ambulance from the SEM, and a medicalized helicopter.
With this latest fatality, the total number of deaths on Catalan roads this year has reached 61, with 28 of them being motorcyclists, according to provisional data from the Servei Català de Trànsit.
