The Sant Lluís Mental Health Center in La Seu d'Urgell is scheduled to begin operations in early 2027, establishing a specialized healthcare resource for the Pyrenees and Andorra.

Led by the Hospitalàries Sant Boi Foundation, this project aims to provide modern psychiatric care within the community. The facility will open with 59 beds, eventually expanding to 97 spots, including a residential home for long-term recovery.

"The center will be a space of opportunity, light, and future, allowing recovery processes to take place close to home."

Joan Orrit Clotet · Director of the Hospitalàries Sant Boi Foundation
The center features an Agora space designed to connect patients with the city and reduce social stigma. This initiative is supported by the Bishopric of Urgell, the Andorran Ministry of Health, the Generalitat de Catalunya, and the La Seu d'Urgell Town Council.
Beyond healthcare, the center will boost the local economy in the Alt Urgell region by creating skilled jobs and attracting scientific talent, positioning the area as an international reference for mental health innovation.
