The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating a series of three violent robberies perpetrated this Wednesday morning in tobacco shops in Belianes, Anglesola, and Bellpuig, allegedly by the same individual armed with a knife.

The crime spree began in Belianes shortly before 11:00 AM. A man with his face covered by a balaclava entered Rosa Guasch's shop brandishing a large knife. Despite the threat, the owner resisted the robbery by throwing a box at the assailant.

"I thought he wouldn't take the cash register, and I threw a box of flashlights at him. He ran away."
