The city of Tàrrega is anticipating the official celebration of International Museum Day, scheduling a cultural day for Saturday, May 9, featuring a new web game, exhibition tours, and a concert.

The Museu Tàrrega Urgell has organized a series of activities to commemorate International Museum Day, coinciding with the start of the Festa Major de Maig. The program includes the presentation of the multi-game 360TARGA’M, two guided tours of the exhibition Viure la mort, and a concert by singer-songwriter Paul Fuster.
The day will begin at 6:00 PM with the launch of 360TARGA’M, an innovative interactive web game. This application, developed by a local team, features questions and answers about the history of Tàrrega, with modes such as a trivia game and a daily word challenge. The goal is to bring local knowledge closer to citizens in a fun and participatory way, with the possibility of winning symbolic prizes from collaborating businesses.
Subsequently, the museum will offer two guided tours of the temporary exhibition Viure la mort, at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This traveling exhibition, produced by the Xarxa de Museus de les Terres de Lleida i Aran, explores the concept of death through archaeological, artistic, and ethnographic pieces. Advance booking is required to participate.
The day will conclude with a performance by singer-songwriter Paul Fuster, who will offer a free concert at 11:00 PM in the Sales Nobles. Fuster, a musician of Catalan descent with a consolidated career since 1998, will present a proposal of experimental music and a compilation of his six published works.
In addition to Saturday's activities, the Museu Tàrrega Urgell will offer free open days from May 8 to May 18, allowing access to its permanent and temporary collections. International Museum Day, officially celebrated from May 16 to May 18, is themed “Museums uniting a divided world,” highlighting the role of museums as spaces for dialogue and social cohesion.
