The town of Tàrrega will host the musical production American pie – The day the music died this Friday, March 27th, at the Ateneu Theatre as part of the 31st Live Arts Season.

Inspired by Don McLean's legendary anthem, the show recreates the Las Vegas vibe of the 1960s and 70s. The plot follows three of Elvis Presley's backing singers who decide to start their own band. The performance merges live music with theatrical storytelling, humor, and social commentary regarding female empowerment.
Managed by the local Department of Culture, the season has seen a significant rise in popularity. Data shows a 20% increase in season ticket sales compared to the previous edition, with 390 passes sold and several sold-out performances across the 16 scheduled events.
The cultural program also includes family-oriented activities, such as a concert scheduled for Sunday, March 29th. This event will feature a repertoire of family music in Catalan, aiming to engage younger audiences in the local arts scene.
