Tàrrega Chess Club Teams Face Defeat in Catalan League Eighth Round

The first team lost to league leaders Mollerussa while the second squad fell in Pardinyes.

The Club Escacs Tàrrega experienced a difficult weekend on March 8th, with both its competitive teams losing their respective matches in the eighth round of the Catalan Chess League.

The first team traveled to face the league leaders, Club Escacs Mollerussa. The match ended in a decisive 8.5 to 1.5 victory for the home side. Despite the loss, Tàrrega remains in fourth place in the Preferent category, with a crucial final match against Andorra's GEVA-CEA B approaching.
In the Third Division, the second team visited the Pardinyes neighborhood in Lleida. The encounter against CE Pardinyes D resulted in a 3-1 defeat for the visitors. The team currently holds the seventh spot in the standings with one round remaining in the season.
