The Tàrrega City Council has announced the closure of all municipal buildings and the cancellation of public events this Thursday, February 12th, due to extreme wind alerts in Urgell.

Mayor Alba Pijuan led the Municipal Civil Protection Commission meeting to evaluate safety measures. Following Generalitat guidelines, all educational, sports, and cultural facilities will remain closed until at least 8:00 PM on Thursday to ensure citizen safety.
Key locations such as Sant Eloi Park and the Municipal Cemetery will be inaccessible. Local authorities advise residents to secure loose objects on balconies and avoid unnecessary travel, as wind speeds are expected to surpass 100 km/h throughout the day.
