The 25th Tàrrega Half Marathon and 10 km Ciutat de Tàrrega brought together nearly 750 runners on Sunday at the Sports Park in the capital of Urgell, marking one of the most crowded editions of the last decade.

The sporting event, one of the most prominent dates on the local calendar, saw balanced participation between the half marathon and the 10-kilometer race. The organization, led by the 100x100 Fondistes club with the support of the Tàrrega City Council, was key to the day's success.

"We are very happy because we have practically broken the participation record of the last decade."

Josep Bernabeu · President of the 100x100 Fondistes club
Local involvement was one of the most significant aspects, with 145 athletes from the Fondistes club participating in the race, demonstrating the strong roots of the event in the city. Additionally, 125 volunteers ensured the smooth running of the extensive route, which passed through Tàrrega and neighboring municipalities such as Vilagrassa, El Talladell, and La Mora.
The race also highlighted a growing trend in female participation, which accounted for approximately 20% of the total registrants. The club continues to foster grassroots involvement with initiatives such as the beginner's running course Tu pots!, which this year exceeded 50 registrations, with about thirty participants making the leap to competition, mostly women.
Regarding the results, in the men's half marathon, Roger Súria from Agramunt crossed the finish line in 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 27 seconds. In the women's category, Emma Carreras (Xafatolls) delivered a notable performance with a time of 1:22:37. Meanwhile, in the 10-kilometer race, victory went to El Hassane Lam Dassem (Sicoris XC360), who completed the course in 31:33, while in the women's category, Alba Bellostas (Xafatolls) claimed victory with a time of 36:53.
