“"The Col·loquis a Thä are an initiative of Xavier García himself to highlight authors and dedicate a space for poetic recitals, re-readings, and the editing of monographic volumes. This year they are dedicated to their creator, the best way to recognize an intellectual who was capable of positioning local authors with an extraordinary vision and sensitivity towards the arts of the territory."

The Tàrrega City Council has presented the seventh volume of the Col·loquis a Thä collection, dedicated to the writer and cultural promoter Xavier García, in an event recognizing his contribution to local literature.
The publication is part of the tribute that the capital of Urgell pays to García within the framework of the Sant Jordi cultural cycle. The writer, who passed away in 2025, stood out in the city as an editor and cultural dynamizer, being the driving force behind the Col·loquis a Thä series of volumes, which brings together studies, essays, and literary anthologies on contemporary authors.
Now, García himself becomes the protagonist of this collection. The new volume compiles the legacy of his intellectual thought, which embraced not only the world of letters but also the arts in general. Prominent names such as Enric Casasses, Jaume Pont, Pere Rovira, Josep M. Sala-Valldaura, Pau Echauz, Ramon Badia, David Castillo, Lorenzo Plana, and Juan José Espinosa participate in the book, in addition to Eduard Ribera, who was responsible for the preface. The work is illustrated by the artist Cristina Persiani with the collaboration of Ermengol.
Through these texts, a multifaceted portrait of Xavier García is drawn: from his professional facet as an editor and exhibition curator to his commitment to the vindication of local authors. The book includes critical analyses of his own poetic production and insights into his artistic sensibility, where his recognized interest in flamenco and popular culture is not lacking.
The presentation took place at the Societat Ateneu premises, which was filled with the public. Also present were Rosa Maria Perelló, mayor of Tàrrega; Eduard Escoffet, director of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes, and several authors who participated in the book. The evening, led by journalist Gemma Peris, reaffirmed the city's commitment to perpetuating the memory of one of its most beloved cultural promoters.
With this publication, the Col·loquis a Thä collection reaches its seventh installment, consolidating itself as an exponent of contemporary literature within the framework of the annual Sant Jordi program in Tàrrega. The authors reviewed in the seven volumes of the collection, published by the Department of Culture, are Enric Casasses, Pere Rovira, Teresa Pascual, Jordi Pàmias, Josep Maria Sala-Valldaura, David Castillo, and Xavier García.
