The Tàrrega City Council has introduced UrTalent, a strategic initiative designed to align local educational offerings with the actual requirements of the Urgell business community.

Presented on March 9th at the Town Hall, the project is a joint effort with the Urgell County Council and Bellpuig City Council. It focuses on analyzing the regional labor market to reduce the mismatch between job supply and demand.
Scheduled to run through 2026, the program will map existing training capacities and identify high-growth economic sectors. This data-driven approach includes surveys and workshops with local companies to define future professional competencies.
Supported by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), UrTalent is part of the Urgell: Objective 2030 strategic plan. The consultancy firm Daleph will provide technical support to foster cooperation between public institutions and private enterprises.
