The Tàrrega City Council presented on Friday a record-breaking budget proposal of 24,381,749 euros for 2026, the highest in the history of the Urgell capital.

The governing coalition of ERC and PSC has prioritized three main areas: cleanliness, security, and housing. The budget represents a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year and will be voted on Thursday, February 19th. Mayor Alba Pijuan emphasized that these accounts are essential for the city's progress.

"If the budget is not approved, new investments cannot be made. The city has a lot at stake; Tàrrega cannot stop."
