Teachers from the Urgell and Segarra regions have confirmed they will proceed with strike actions scheduled for next week, specifically on March 18 and 20.

The group of public school teachers, coordinated through a local assembly in Tàrrega, has expressed total rejection of the deal signed between the Department of Education and the CCOO and UGT unions.

"The measures included in the agreement are very far from our demands."

Demands focus on reversing years of budget cuts and improving educational quality. Teachers view the proposed salary increase as insufficient and consider the Government's pact an attempt to weaken the mobilization.
