The Urgell Regional Council has inaugurated a new series of guided tours in Tàrrega, with an initial session attracting fifty participants, marking the beginning of 16 planned routes until October.

The initiative, part of the Year of Cultural Tourism in Catalonia, commenced yesterday in the capital of Urgell. Around fifty people had the opportunity to rediscover various emblematic points of the city, accompanied by a local guide.
The inaugural visit offered an immersion into Tàrrega's history, combining the past with old photographs and the present. The route included locations such as Plaça del Carme, the train station, Carrer de Santa Anna, the Palau dels Marquesos de la Floresta on Carrer del Carme, and Plaça Major and Sant Antoni.
To conclude the experience, participants enjoyed a tasting of 'cóc' and a glass of wine. In total, 16 free tours are scheduled between May and October, with limited spaces of about 50 people per session, requiring prior registration through the Urgell tourism website. The itineraries have been designed by the municipalities within the region.
