The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 20-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stabbing another individual during a fight at the Tàrrega train station.

The incident occurred at 5:50 PM when a confrontation between three individuals escalated. Witnesses reported that the suspect stabbed the victim in the left leg with a pocket knife. Emergency services (SEM) treated the victim on-site for significant blood loss before transferring him to the local CAP medical center.
Local police officers collaborated in the search, leading to the suspect's arrest shortly after he fled the scene. The individual, who already had a police record, is now facing charges for assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation remains open to clarify the motives behind the attack in the Urgell capital.
Local residents indicated that the group had been involved in another altercation earlier that day near the station. Authorities suspect the stabbing may have been a retaliatory act, as it took place exactly when a train arrived at the platform.
