The Museu Trepat in Tàrrega reopened its doors this Sunday with guided tours, following the completion of restoration work on the roofs of naves 6, 7, and 13.

The reopening coincides with the celebration of European Heritage Days 2026, allowing the public to rediscover the legacy of the former J. Trepat factory, which manufactured agricultural machinery and has become a historical landmark since its musealization by the Tàrrega City Council in 2012.
The roof intervention, which kept part of the museum closed since late last year, has enabled the repair of 14 out of the complex's 19 naves. The work included removing deteriorated elements, thermal insulation, waterproofing, and reinstalling recoverable original ceramic tiles, supplemented with modern materials of similar appearance to preserve the ensemble's aesthetic.
This project cost 543,121 euros (VAT included), with a grant of 200,000 euros from the Office of Support for Cultural Initiatives (OSIC) of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The company Solvetia S.L. was awarded the contract for the works.
The next free guided tours are scheduled for Sunday, October 25th (12 noon), as part of World Architecture Day, and Sunday, November 15th (12 noon). Tàrrega also commemorates World Architecture Day with visits to the Museu Tàrrega Urgell and the Pou del Gel.
The Museu Trepat complex also houses other services that have maintained their activity, such as the business incubator, the pilgrim's hostel, and the offices of FiraTàrrega. Furthermore, the resumption of activity was highlighted by events like the Reeixim l’Oest awards ceremony on October 8th.
Inaugurated in 2012, the Museu Trepat stands as a valuable vestige of the region's industrial past, serving as a tourist attraction and a versatile municipal facility.
