The city of Tàrrega hosted a networking event that brought together 23 producers, restaurateurs, and tourism agents with the aim of strengthening local commercial relationships and promoting the consumption of local products.
The event, titled From the Field to the Table: Connecting Producers and Restaurants, took place at El Gat restaurant in Tàrrega. It was a joint initiative by the Tàrrega City Council and the Urgell Regional Council, designed to strengthen ties among the various actors in the agri-food and tourism sectors of the region.
The session saw the participation of 23 registered attendees, including 14 producers offering a wide range of products such as oil, wine, cookies, juices, jams, bread, ice cream, and chocolate, among other local specialties.
“
"It is a unique opportunity to connect producers with restaurateurs. Local products and gastronomy are two great assets of the territory."
“
"In Urgell, we have the best to be a vibrant region, from the Sió valley with its sweetest side with nougat and chocolate, to the Ondara valley, with fruit and good restaurants, also present throughout the region, up to the Ondara valley, with vineyards and olive groves."
This initiative was part of the Urgell Tourism Tables and received support from the strategic planning program of the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), highlighting the importance of inter-institutional collaboration for local economic development.
