Set designer Llorenç Corbella Burgués, known as Passerell, has created the trophy for the 63rd International Tenor Viñas Singing Contest, which begins today at Barcelona City Hall.

The young set designer from Tàrrega, Passerell (the artistic name of Llorenç Corbella Burgués), was commissioned to design the trophy that the winners of the 63rd edition of the prestigious International Tenor Viñas Singing Contest will receive.
The artistic figure references the sheet music hurricane set design that Passerell himself created for the previous edition of the competition. This image symbolizes the power of the voice, considered the foundation and essence of the contest.

"Like music itself, the piece transforms according to the observer's point of view, providing movement, interpretation, and a plurality of meanings."

The piece was conceived to allow multiple visual interpretations, evoking everything from a flower in full bloom to a raised cup or a small swirl of sheet music.
The singing contest has achieved a new record for inscriptions for the second consecutive year, with 712 singers from 64 countries. Of these, one hundred have been selected to compete in the different phases that begin today at Barcelona City Hall.
