The Castellbisbal City Council has ordered the closure of the Escola Natura Montesori, located in the Can Santeugini Masia, due to serious safety deficiencies detected since its opening in 2022.

The closure order is based on technical reports indicating “serious safety deficiencies,” mainly regarding fire prevention, and non-compliance with current regulations. The educational center is located in the Can Santeugini Masia.
The Municipal Government reported that, despite formal requirements and meetings held with the center's management and the responsible engineering firm for months, the deficiencies have not been corrected. According to the Council, the necessary actions should have been carried out prior to the center starting operations in 2022.

Serious shortcomings derived from unfinished installations have been confirmed, which directly affect student safety, accessibility, and other essential requirements for the development of the activity.

One of the determining factors was the reception of an unfavorable report from the Fire Department (Bombers), confirming the serious shortcomings. This fact, along with the other deficiencies, forced the City Council to order the closure to “guarantee the safety of students and staff.”
The Castellbisbal City Council has provided an email address (activitats@castellbisbal.cat) for affected families seeking further information and clarification regarding the closure.
