The Club Korfbal Castellbisbal was crowned champion of the IKF Korfball Champions League Satellite 2025-2026 in Lisbon, achieving its first international title after a four-day league format competition.

The team from Vallès Occidental concluded a successful week in the Portuguese capital, overcoming seven European teams in a round-robin format that rewarded consistency. This historic triumph further enhances the legacy of Catalan korfball teams in Europe.
Castellbisbal secured the top spot with an excellent record of five wins and only one loss, accumulating a total of 15 points. The athletes had to contend not only with sporting demands but also with unexpected extra-sporting challenges, such as a national strike in Portugal and schedule adjustments due to extreme weather alerts.
The team started the competition on Day 10 with a victory against the Turkish side Kocaeli University Sport Club (16 to 12). After a comfortable win against Şeker06 SC (22 to 14), they suffered their only defeat against the Slovakian team SKK Prievidza Dolphins (20 to 22), resulting from accumulated fatigue.
This loss served as motivation, and the Castellbisbal players responded with the most resounding victories of the tournament, defeating the Cardiff Raptors Korfball Club (38 to 12) and the Glasgow Korfball Club (23 to 8).
The final match, decisive for the title, was against the English team Nomads. Despite reaching halftime tied at 8-8, Castellbisbal managed to pull away in the crucial moments, sealing the final victory 19 to 16 and securing the championship.
