49-year-old worker dies after falling from a roof in Cerdanyola del Vallès

A 49-year-old man died this Friday afternoon, January 9, in Cerdanyola del Vallès after falling ten meters while performing maintenance work at a company.

The Mossos d'Esquadra received the alert regarding the fatal workplace accident at 12:20 PM this Friday. The victim, aged 49, fell from an approximate height of 10 meters due to causes that are still under investigation.
The incident took place while the man was carrying out maintenance tasks on the roof of a company located in the municipality of Cerdanyola del Vallès, in the Vallès Occidental region.
Several patrols of the Catalan police, four units of the Bombers de la Generalitat de Catalunya, and the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) immediately deployed to the scene.
According to rescue services, the victim was not trapped, meaning the direct intervention of the Bombers was not required.
The Mossos have notified the investigating court in Cerdanyola del Vallès and the Department of Business and Labor, following the standard procedure for fatal workplace accidents.
