The community of Cerdanyola del Vallès has actively supported La Marató de TV3, dedicated this year to cancer research, through various charitable initiatives held since October.

One of the key proposals was the “Christmas with La Marató” event, held on Friday, December 12, at the Escola FEDAC Cerdanyola. Throughout the afternoon, the center’s spaces were filled with activity, including theater shows, hot chocolate, a living nativity scene, Christmas workshops, concerts, and a visit from King Melchior, with strong participation from the educational community.
This Sunday, December 14, the Residència Joan XXIII – L’Onada Cerdanyola also joined La Marató with the activity “Solidarity anti-stress hearts,” a symbolic and participatory action reinforcing the social aspect of the initiative. Earlier, the AFA of Escola Les Fontetes organized a traditional solidarity Castanyada (Chestnut festival) on October 31, raising 450 euros for the cause.

The involvement of educational centers, entities, and groups in Cerdanyola del Vallès is key to achieving La Marató de TV3's fundraising goal against cancer.

The solidarity calendar will continue in the coming days. On December 19, the Institut Pere Calders will organize a solidarity hot chocolate event during recess. Finally, on December 21, Parc Xarau will host the Sardanyoelada, the annual event by Sarda Riders, bringing together hundreds of motorcyclists dressed as Santa Claus for a festive day with music and children's activities.
